The First to Fall
By Samantha Savine
Robert Savinelli was found not guilty in the murder of Biloxi socialite Kara Felt by a jury of his peers. His attorney, Victor Gillespie, ever the opportunist, was the first vulture to pick the bones of the now famous Siege at Porter Ave. Because many of the investigating officers were slain in the siege and therefore couldn't testify, the most damning evidence against Savinelli was tossed. Now Nathan Felt will never know justice, as the most likely suspect in his wife's murder has gone free. And still the question remains how unemployed dock worker could afford a shark like Gillespie.
