    Earthquake Hits Biloxi

Post  WoDerator on Sat Apr 09, 2011 5:27 pm

At about 10:21 p.m. on Saturday (April 9th, 2011), a small Earthquake rumbles through the southern Mississippi area. Hardly measurable on the Richter scale, the City of Biloxi is assuring citizens that there is no incoming Tsunami (a bit of panic spread along coastal areas once the news hit).

Says weatherman and news reporter Ted Jansen of WKRG (CBS) Biloxi: "The quake was barely measurable, and was located near or just below the city, so there is no chance of a tsunami like we've seen in JAPan (oc: emphasis mine). People should go back to their homes and resume normal business. Lots of placed get minor quakes, I doubt we'll see another for decades. The last one felt was in 1972."

The only noticeable effect may be disrupting the Green Sun attempts to bury the city's powerlines.
