A Beat Down At Lock Up Empty A Beat Down At Lock Up

The detention officers are a little embarrassed after an altercation at county lock up last night. A guard was knocked unconscious by an unknown assailant or assailants. A head count afterwards showed that no one had escaped. Shifts have been doubled for the next few weeks as the investigation into the incident continues.

Is there currently an internal investigation underway to determine who the assailant could be? Where was the officer when he was attacked? Was this on a low, medium or high security wing?

Woah! That's some bad news. Has Rogers shown any off behavior? On an off chance, does Rogers have any history of substance abuse/reprimands for being intoxicated on the job? What are the crimes/reasons for solitary for the 8 cells closest to where Rogers was attacked?

As to substance abuse or odd behavior nothing that is common knowledge.

As to the cells, mostly people that were violent in lock up, a few pych people, and some high profile murder folks, but no record of the doors being opened.

Any chance that one or more of the murderers was an exceptionally difficult collar or has a history of botched escape attempts? Is it possible to learn what sort of psychological issues are serious enough to warrant separation from the general population, but not serious enough to warrant an independent psychiatric treatment facility?
Has Officer Rogers broken up or interjected himself into disputes with any of the inmates on that block? Was Officer Rogers alone on patrol? Are there closed circuit cameras in that area or at any point where Officer Rogers would have needed to cross in order to access that area?

    1) As far as you know none of the murderers were or have been that difficult to contain.
    2) 2ithout actual access to the prisoner's file word around the station would only reveal gems of wisdom like, "He's fucking crazy." Sometimes things as simple as refusing to keep you orange outfit on is "crazy" enough to get you seperated. The jail is sometimes used as a temporary holding place for people during the determination of mental illness. Very temporary.
    3) Rogers has done so several times in his eight years as a detention officer. No particular incident sticks out.
    4) He was alone on patrol. He was just doing rounds, basic stuff (peeking in windows making sure no one was missing or trying to hang themselves.
    5) There were several CCTV cameras through out his circuit, but the incident happened betwwn sections, between to airlock doors. No cameras are in that space.
